Rumour Has It: Undervalued Mbappe wants PSG exit

Paris Saint-Germain may be heading for a tough rebuild that includes losing two of the world s best players.

While they won Ligue 1 once again, PSG fell short in the Champions League, exiting in the round of 16. Still, Thomas Tuchel has earned trust in Paris, signing a new contract in May.

He may have some massive work to do in the close-season, with Kylian Mbappe reportedly eyeing a move to Real Madrid, while Neymar is considering his options.

TOP STORY – MBAPPE WANTS MADRID MOVE

After a standout season, Mbappe is feeling undervalued at PSG and wants a move to Real Madrid, according to ABC.

The France international, who scored 39 goals in 2018-19, does not feel properly valued in Paris, the report said.

Frontzeck named as Korkut´s replacement at Hannover

Michael Frontzeck has been named the new coach of Bundesliga strugglers Hannover going into the final five games of the season.

With the club just two points clear of the relegation zone, Hannover opted to sack Korkut on Monday after going winless thus far in 2015.

Having taken charge in December 2013, Korkut guided the club to a 10th-place finish at the end of last season but Hannover struggled badly this term and have won just seven of their 29 league matches.

Former Borussia Monchengladbach and St. Pauli coach Frontzeck will be the man tasked with keeping Hannover up agreeing a contract until the end of the campaign.

Michael Frontzeck has our full confidence as the new head coach to lead the team away from relegation, president Martin Kind said in a…

Klopp can manage anywhere, says Rosler

Jurgen Klopp has the ability to coach in the Premier League or anywhere else in the world, Uwe Rosler feels.

Klopp will bring his time as Borussia Dortmund boss to an end at the close of this season following a seven-year spell in which he has led the club to two Bundesliga titles and the 2013 UEFA Champions League final, as well as DFB-Pokal and DFL-Supercup glory.

The German has been widely linked with a move to the Premier League, with Liverpool rumoured to be interested in his services after a disappointing campaign under Brendan Rodgers.

And Klopp s compatriot Rosler, who is keen to return to management after leaving Wigan Athletic last November, believes the 47-year-old will be a success wherever he ends up.

Kosmina quells Van Dijk fears

Adelaide United coach John Kosmina has dispelled rumours striker Sergio van Dijk is ready to leave the club and return home to Indonesia.

Last Thursday the Reds issued a statement that they had approved a request from Van Dijk to spend time in Indonesia until the following Monday to address some personal family matters.

Van Dijk s request came just hours after being left on the bench and making a late appearance in United s 2-2 draw with FC Bunyodkor in the AFC Champions League quarter-final first leg clash at Hindmarsh Stadium.

The Dutch forward s decision to depart Adelaide on compassionate leave added to lingering speculation which first gained momentum earlier this year, that the 30-year-old was ready to call time on his five-year association with Australian…

International friendlies preview: Kaka returns for Brazil

Kaka is set to make his return for Brazil when the South American giants take on Iraq in an international friendly on Thursday.

The Real Madrid attacker earned a recall from Mano Menezes and could make his first appearance in Brazil colours since the 2010 World Cup.

Menezes has focused on giving youngsters a chance since taking charge from Dunga following the showcase tournament in South Africa.

Brazil have won four straight games since losing to Argentina in June, netting 14 goals in the process.

On paper it is an impressive Brazil squad for friendlies against Iraq and Japan in the next week, to be played in Sweden and Poland respectively.

If Kaka can combine with Chelsea young gun Oscar through midfield, Brazil are sure to provide plenty of opp…

Burnley 11/8 to beat Sheffield United in Tuesday’s Premier League showdown

Market: Burnley win

Odds: 11/8 @

With a real chance to make an immediate return to winning ways on Tuesday evening, Burnley will welcome Sheffield United to an empty Turf Moor.

Starting with the hosts, while on paper Burnley might have left Elland Road with a 1-0 loss on Sunday lunchtime, that doesn t quite tell the whole story. At the heart of more VAR controversy, Sean Dyche s men missed a string of late chances against Premier League returners Leeds and there is no doubt that the Clarets will be glad to make a return to home soil in midweek. Still managing to find themselves a route out of the drop zone after what was a largely impressive run throughout December, Burnley have gained a reputation for their recent success on home soil. Last seen at Turf Moor w…

Haaland returns to Manchester City training after missing Liverpool rout

Erling Haaland is back in Manchester City training after he missed out on their 4-1 rout against Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday.

The forward was forced to withdraw from Norway duty last month after he sustained a groin injury heading into the international break.

Ahead of City s return to action against Jurgen Klopp s Reds last week, Pep Guardiola was non-committal on whether Haaland would feature.

Now, in a boost as they look to keep pace with Arsenal at the summit, the striker is back on the training pitch ahead of this weekend s trip to Southampton.

De Bruyne tells Man City to keep believing in Pep´s playing style

Kevin De Bruyne encouraged Manchester City to stay true to Pep Guardiola s principles as they seek to disrupt Liverpool s path to the Premier League title.

Champions City beat second-placed Leicester City 3-1 on Saturday to close back to within 11 points of leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand following their successful trip to the Club World Cup.

Guardiola thanked City s players for following him after the come-from-behind victory and midfielder De Bruyne urged his team-mates to uphold the standards of the past two title-winning campaigns.

We need to go game by game, De Bruyne said. We dropped some points along the way, but I think the reaction of the team has always been really good, the way we play has always been the same and we have played good footba…

Barcelona announce Coutinho surgery date amid reports of lengthy absence

Philippe Coutinho will undergo knee surgery on Saturday, Barcelona have announced, as reports in Spain suggest he could be out for several months.

The Brazil international was introduced as a 66th-minute substitute during Tuesday s disappointing 1-1 draw with Eibar at Camp Nou, but was unable to see the game out.

On Friday, Barca confirmed the Brazil international will have an operation on the external meniscus of his left knee, after which a timetable for his return will be revealed.

A club statement read: Philippe Coutinho will be operated on this Saturday for the injury to the external meniscus of the left knee by Dr. Joan Carles Monllau and under the supervision of the club s medical services.

Messi, Ronaldo ´from another world´ – Boateng

Bayern Munich s Jerome Boateng feels Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are from another world and believes it is very unlikely another player will win the Ballon d Or ahead of the superstar duo.

Boateng enjoyed an impressive 2015-16 campaign and has developed into one of the game s best defenders, but he gives himself little chance of lifting the prestigious individual award come January.

It has been 10 years since Fabio Cannavaro was the last defender to win the Ballon d Or. It is really hard as a defender. You would have to win the World Cup, make the team of the tournament and ideally score a few goals as well, Boateng told Sport Bild.

And I am not even taking those two players from another world into account then. It will be very hard for anyone to win the…
